The latest in a series of infant/toddler workshops planned for family child care providers will focus on ?Mixed Age Family Child Care ? Making the Most of the Family Model? and is scheduled from 6:30-8:30 p.m., on March 21 at Community Connection for Child Care (CCCC), 2000 24th Street in Bakersfield. Presented by CCCC the workshops represent a comprehensive effort by the California Infant/Toddler Learning and Development Foundations and California Department of Education to strengthen young children?s learning and development through high-quality early care and education. Registration is required and can be made by calling (661) 861-5330.
Workshop instructor will be Teresia Paca, Kern County Superintendent of Schools early childhood education teacher. She will explain the concept of mixed age family care which is the closest to the large family model. Children are always in flux and caregiver flexibility and readiness is crucial to providing everything to everyone. This workshop will focus on how to make it all flow naturally.
