Our clients are experts within the healthcare and pharmaceutical sales industry. The company was established in 2005 and is currently one of the fastest growing healthcare service providers in the UK.
They have a team of people who provide a high level of service, commitment, expertise and experience which they now need to expand on. Our client's sales teams have an advanced level of knowledge within their specialist field and are now looking for a Territory Sales Manager with knowledge of respiratory products.
The Purpose of the Territory Sales Manager:
Is to take responsibility for the promotion of defined brands within a product portfolio by acting as the territory sales manager within your defined geographical territory.
The Territory Sales Manager needs to be a very motivated individual, as they will be expected to visit each GP on several occasions.
They also need to have access to GP?s as they will be responsible for self-generating their appointments; however, there will be a business plan and list of area contacts provided.
It is likely the Territory Sales Manager will have an activity level of five contacts per day. They will also have around an hour of paperwork and reports to do each day.
The Territory Sales Manager will also need to be computer literate as much of the reporting will be completed online.
Responsibilities of the Territory Sales Manager:
? To maximise the sales of assigned brands within the territory by achieving agreed sales targets.
? To deliver the KPI's that are set via the client e.g. activity metrics
? To provide monthly marketing feedback to the manager
? Identification and development of Key Opinion Leader relationships at territory level
? May need to represent company at professional exhibitions and promote company products at such events
? To develop a business plan and communicate plans to manager - including an implementation plan
? Manage territory budget to ensure that expenditure is on the appropriate customers
? To implement current marketing campaigns
? To complete all admin requirements, on time and to a high standard, as directed by manager
? Communicate and share territory feedback with territory partners and manager
The Territory Sales Manager will be expected to maintain relationships with/ within:
Internal: CSO Directors, Project Managers, Regional Sales Manager, Human Resources, Finance, Business Information, Scheduling
External: Relevant customers, Relevant clients
The Ideal Territory Sales Manager Candidate will have the following Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, Skill and Specific Competencies Required:
Qualifications: ABPI code of Practice exam and a Degree or equivalent
Experience: Significant experience and proven track record in pharmaceutical sales in primary care and secondary care (where relevant). Experience of working within CSO/ Supplier environment
Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of the current NHS customer structure and how it is evolving, particularly at local level. How to work as a supplier to the pharmaceutical industry. Product knowledge in relevant disease areas.
Skills: Selling skills. Interpretation of Sales Data. Oral and written communication. Negotiation skills. Presentation skills.
Specific Competencies: Honesty and integrity. Customer focus (Internal and External). Team work. Initiative. Self-driven and results orientated. Problem solving and decision making. Planning and organising. Commercial acumen.
