The problem of illegal immigration to Europe continues to grow year by year, and the problem is that the same approach of expelling illegal immigrants from Europe remains the same year after year as well.? The European Union and the European governments use the same approach to expelling illegal immigrants even though it has not seemed to work in prior years.? The main concentration is on preventing illegals from other countries from entering into European countries.? But even this seems minimally effective, even for the purpose that the approach is intended for, as thousands of illegal immigrants still find their way into European countries every year.
In order to come up with a more effective approach the question has to be asked as to why illegal immigrants choose to enter into a European country illegally rather than legally.? Is it because they are worried that they will be turned away?? Is it for fear of repercussions from their own country for leaving to begin with?? Is it due to the fact that certain illegals are running from the law in another country and do not want to be found?? All of the above could be true, but the one issue that the European lawmakers can do something about is the fear of the process of legal immigration.
Many individuals are unaware of the process involved with becoming a legal citizen of a European country and fear that going through the process will result in them being denied access into Europe.? It seems that it would be much more beneficial to Europe?s immigration policy, and to potential immigrants, to promote legal immigration, rather than always dwelling on how to put a halt to illegal immigration.? After all, realistically, all illegal immigration is not going to come to a sudden halt.? What may help cut back on illegal immigration, though, is making the process of legal immigration more intriguing, as well as more of a simpler process.? Promoting legal immigration seems as though it would work to inspire more trust in the process, which seems as though it would lead to more individuals seeing the benefits of going about immigration legally.
???The question is how to find a way to promote legal immigration to Europe without greatly increasing the number of immigrants entering every year.? The last thing Europe needs is a huge flood of immigrants that it is not prepared for.? The main goal must be to encourage those who would have entered a European country illegally, to instead go about the legal process for immigrating to the country.? In order to do this there has to be some type of message sent to those in other countries that often have citizens that immigrate to Europe, which is not necessarily an easy task.? But, legal immigration can also be promoted to those who have already tried to enter illegally as well, there just obviously has to be some sort of penalty for not entering legally to begin with before an immigrant can come back and try the legal process.? If these things can be figured out then many more illegal immigrants can be expelled from Europe and be replaced with legal immigrants that can contribute better to society.
